One Quiet Year
This book is primarily a book of pictures that I made during the first year of Covid. There are 40 pictures, or so, in all; mostly interiors, but also a few landscapes, and a few poems with some accompaniment. It’s a book about the flip-side of the devastating time: a reflection on the preciousness and belongingness of life.
Instructions for living a life:
Be astonished. Tell about it.

This was conceived as a book, so it’s meant to be seen two pages at a time, which you can adjust in your PDF settings.
It’s been a long time since I made these particular drawings. It was during the first Covid year that these pictures were created, and then it took a long time after that to make this book. As I remember making them, I was amazed that I never tired of capturing these intimate surroundings and all of the love embodied in the character of this little house.
